- ἐγ-κατα-τίδημι, aor. ἐγκάτθετο, imp. ἐγκάτθεο: deposit in, place in, ἵμαντα κόλπῳ, Il. 14.219; met., ἄτην θῦμῷ, ‘conceive’ infatuation, Od. 23.223 ; τελαμῶνα ἑῇ ἐγκάτθετο τέχνῃ, ‘conceived in (by) his art,’ or perhaps better ‘included in (among the specimens of) his art,’ Od. 11.614.
